Is anyone else a part of this?

Blah...just signed up. Realized I can't forge my way through it. :( Could have sort of done it a few months ago when I worked at a company that owns one of those retailers. :P Dammit.. I had no idea!

Hmm .. so you have to be a legitimate Intel dealer to apply for this?
bummer ......

You could always send forged employment documentation to them. As long as you know what the real ones look like. But you need to send a scanned copy by email/fax to them every 90 days to confirm continued employment. Lol. :(

OK .... Shadman can you get your scanner warmed up and make a blank copy of your employment doc LOL!
JK ... sounds like too much hard work:(

Even if you work for these retailers in Aus you can't buy anything worth your time. No motherboards no cpus just some teeshirts bud headphones and other junk. :(

Why's that? I thought you could take advantage of the summer special they have on the 3930k? Says it's available to all verified members for between $160-$200 depending on your ranking on the site (guessing based on training/time on there)

They just don't offer them to people in Australia. A mate works at dick Smith's and could not get any pc hardware at all from the retail edge program.

We must have someone who works at a bestbuy or something here in the states who can provide a blanked out employment record form that intel accepts. :P

Sorry I haven't replied lately.

Also, you need to take quizzes to get points. Quizzes range in 100-1000 points. You need 10,000 at least to get the summer deals, the processor for $194, or 40,000 points for $179.

Also, you are limited to one. And you're not supposed to sell them.

Well I used to be a computer tech at Staples and got into this program. I stopped working there a while ago though. Shortly after I got my i7 2700k for $100.
Fortunately my pay stub was online and I would just print screen the info and send it to Intel to renew my membership.

Being a print screen it's easy to go into an editing program and alter the dates/info...

I used to work for best buy... i still have some digital pay stubs they sent.
i wonder if i can easily fake it and if they do any sort of legit checking lol.

Love the price but it's not worth working at best buy for.

This is the only info that is required, everything else can be blacked out:
Your Name
The name of your retail chain (must be a participating chain)
The date, within 30 days

I just registered as a store manager of an electronics store (I am really a store manager). So what do I have to do to get it at that price?

EDIT: oh sorry, just saw the 2nd page. time to get some points.

LOL man I'm such a nerd... I did 10,000 points (almost) without repeating any tests and without going through lessons.

Well, I got 11,500 points now, and I don't see where I could get any CPU...
