Hope you're ready. From the Team that made the epic mod, Age of Chivalry, comes their first retail product.

Though I'm sure many of you know of it...it is going to be insane.

Recommended. If you like Mount& Blade directional combat mixed with Hollywoodish effects and sounds (really superb sounds!) in lavish landscapes -your in for a treat. It may look a little twitchy and overly fast paced in videos and to some extent it is, but since I've had Beta theres not a day I don't jones for some bloody a$$ melee.

There is no directional combat like M&B, don't confuse people. :P

But yes, it is awesome. If you liked Dueling in Jedi Academy, it has that high level of skill.

In Team Objective, which means 16 VS 16 players, I've seen a guy go 29 - 0, if you practice enough and learn the mechanics, you can become Godly.

Yes, maybe I should have been more clear. It isn't the exact same directional combat system that M&B uses in which blocks can be held indefinitley in any chosen direction but you do have the ability to choose your direction of attack except the left to right swing. Blocks in this game are very brief but you also must try to intercept the trajectory of the incoming attack at precisely the right time. I consider this directional combat as opposed to say a Skyrim, but it's true it's not the exact same thing as M&B.

Enjoyable and skill based never the less.

Yes, it is very skill based.

And you don't block in this, unless with a shield.

You're parrying.
