Hey,

So a few months back I read an article in PCG about BLOPS 2 being DX11 (http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/02/black-ops-2-pc-will-take-advantage-of-directx-11-60-frames-per-second-still-a-priority/). Now I have not been excited about a COD game since COD 4; now I wouldn't say this got me excited about the game but at least made me interested along with the futuristic setting.

Now I was on the geforce website and saw this (http://www.geforce.com/games-applications/pc-games/call-of-duty-black-ops-2), on the left side of the screen is where they list technologies the game will use (ex. 3d vision, DX11, 3d surround, TXAA, SLI, physX).

For what its worth this site has been wrong before, crysis 2 was listed as being a DX11 game for a while before its release, the error was later corrected but it caused a lot of confusion.

Anyway, BLOPS 2 is probably the most different COD we have seen in a while, but if it ships without DX11 (with tessellation) and Hi-res (2048x2048+) textures chances are I won't pick it up.

Come one devs, Im not that hard to pander to. Im impressed with how long its taking DX11 to be standard...

Yeah....I find myself going after games with DX11 support built in. It just looks so much better. A lot of the stuff that were overly difficult and intensive to create and render with DX9 are done so perfectly on DX11. The Witcher 2, for example. If they had put all that effort into a DX11 system...

DX9 just feels inferior. It feels like the try-hard of the DX family. And there is absolutely no comparison between BF3 and MW3 in terms of graphics. I do enjoy the gameplay on MW3 and would play it more if the PC version were more popular. But graphically...it is terrible.

That is a complete and utter understatement, I refuse to play the game as it just looks absolutely shit on my Cat at high res.

Bro I just read the link you posted and it says it has DX11 support, and also includes TXAA which not many games have. It must have been a mistake that's already been fixed?

omg wtf lol. Honestly I probably didn't read that. All I saw was those features not listed on the left side (where it says 3d vision) or this (http://www.geforce.com/games-applications) page where neither of those are listed. Thats good news then if its true, nvidia is confusing the shit out of me right now lol.

Still, if the DX11 features don't include tessellation, and the game has console sized textures its all for not, also as an online FPS on PC it needs to have dedicated servers which the details are sketchy on. But I have a little more hope now.

I've heard good things so far and I hope it can replace BF3. I love BF3...minus the vehicles. I want a freaking infantry combat game. Vehicles are for pussies with no skill imo. So if this is a DX11 game done right...it will become my #1 online shooter. Since I'm giving up on Planetside 2.
